Making
History Come Alive
Reenacting and interpreting history carries a big responsibility. When we
endeavor to tell the history of the Overmountain Men and their campaign to the
Battle of Kings Mountain, we must be accurate in our facts and in our
presentation. It matters little whether our audience is a classroom full of
third graders, a historical group or reliving a moment in history among
ourselves, we are obligated to be true to the past in our words and dress. Here
are some sources to that can help achieve this high goal. Those
marked with an * are highly recommended.
