THE STORY OF THE OVERMOUNTAIN MEN AND THEIR CAMPAIGN TO THE BATTLE OF KINGS MOUNTAIN

 

On October 7, 1780, a battle was fought between 900 American Patriots and 1,000 American Tories on a spur of Kings Mountain in South Carolina.

The outcome of the Battle was "the turning of the tide of the American Revolution" according to Thomas Jefferson, future president of this great land.

The Battle of Kings Mountain lasted 1 hour and 5 minutes but the real STORY began many months before.
